The Combined Service U23 squad will take on a Hampshire select XV, managed and coached by Si Burns (United Services Portsmouth,) at Gosport and Fareham RFC on Sun 21 Apr 13, KO 2pm.
The game will give all squad members a final chance of selection, prior to the game at Twickenham against an Oxbridge XV on Sat 27 Apr 13 as a ‘curtain raiser' to the Army v Royal Navy game. It is also an opportunity for the coaching staff to try out combinations and patterns whilst getting the squad to gel together.

The Royal Navy take on Premiership Club Bath RFC at the ‘The Rec' on Tues night 16 Apr, KO 7.30pm in there last game before facing the Army at Twickenham on Sat 27 Apr, KO 3pm.
The squad are in good spirits after the RAF game, despite losing Logs (SC) (Silvi) Buinimasi with a broken leg.

The Inter Services commenced this year at RAF Halton. Straight from the kick off the RAF were quick on the attack causing the Navy to defend in their 22. The first scrum saw the Navy dominate, pushing the RAF backwards. With increased confidence, the Navy surged forward hitting low and hard reclaiming ground. With the white line in sight the Navy fought hard to cross it but the RAF managed to hold up the attempted try. The RNRU can now formally confirm that due to an injury sustained during the RAF v RN Inter Service Round 1 game at RAF Halton on Wednesday 10 April 2013 that Logs(SC) ‘B' Buinimasi (HMNB Devonport) will be unable to any further part in the 2013 Inter Service Competition.
Director of Rugby for the RNRU Cdr (Andy) Kellett RN said of the injury. ‘It is really unfortunate for any player to pick an injury at this stage in the season, but particularly for a member of the Senior squad just ahead of the Army v Royal Navy game at Twickenham. ‘B' is a key member of the squad and will be missed by the players and coaching staff'.

Round 1 of the 2013 Inter Services Championship saw the Royal Navy travel to the new home of RAF Rugby, RAF Halton.
The first games on were the Royal Navy Mariners against the RAF Vultures at the same time the Royal Navy Women, confident after a good performance against the Marine Nationale Feminines, took on the RAF Women.
Little happened for the first 15 mins of the game between the Mariners and Vultures until the Vultures were awarded a penalty, which was duly converted 3-0.
