HMS ST ALBANS Rugby Team arrived in Ahmadi to play on what could only be described as a sand pit. Needless to say the Ladies and Gents strapped on there boots and kit, and prepared to warm up for the games ahead. The first fixture was the Ladies but due to numbers they played 7's. The Ladies team comprised of players with a variety of playing experience.

Royal Navy Rugby Referees gathered in Yeovilton in September for their annual Training Day that coincides with the start of the season. This year's theme was "Game Management". The varied and interesting programme was put together by the Society Training Officer WO2 Gaz Fairbairn.

Bath Rugby is delivering the first in a series of Coach Development events in Somerset. On Monday 24 October they will be running a session with the focus of "Developing Player Skills" between 1900-2100 at Ivel Barbarians RFC in Yeovil.
An invitation has been extended to the RNRU to send along interested coaches to this event but due to the capacity of the venue, and the fact that this is an event open to all civilian club coaches in Somerset, places are restricted.
