Comfortable Win for England Seven
England started their George WSS Sevens campaign with a comfrotable win over Tunisia. Returning world sevens record points scorer, Ben Gollings, scored the first try which he also converted. He also added five further conversions to increase his record tally. England scrum half Micky Young was also on the score sheet with a hatrick of tries, scoring two in the first half and claiming one in the second. Rob Vickerman was the other try scorer in the first half before Greg once again game off the bench to score his second try in England colours and the sixth and final try for England. Tunisia lost a player to the sin bin mid way through the second half but still managed a consolation try to make the final score 42 - 7. England meet France later in the day before the final pool match against New Zealand. The New Zealand v France pool match proved to be very similar to the England game. New Zealand matched England with a 6 to 1 try count superiority though having missed a conversion a piece the final score was 40 - 5. And for those of you reading this from a decidedly cool UK, conditions in George are described as hot and sunny after a cool and cloudy week. Ho hum!
