New head coach for the RNRU Mariners
The RNRU Mariners have a new head coach for the 2013/14 season; Lt Paul Clark has been appointed after 8 years of playing for the 'senior' RNRU team. On the new appointment, the Director of Rugby, Cdr Andy Kellett commented, 'Paul’s appointment is pivotal in taking the RN Mariners forward. He has represented the Royal Navy since joining the Service and his experience and understanding of the XXXV game is second to none. I am absolutely delighted to have him onboard and look forward to working with him throughout the season.'
The RN Mariners kick off the season with a pre-Christmas match against Hereford (Away) on 4 Dec 13. This will present an ideal opportunity for an early look at this year’s squad and in particular the 'young ones' that have recently qualified as Mariners
