RNRU Mourns the Passing of Gordon Waddell
Gordon Waddell, was a National Service subalterns in 42 Commando Royal Marines in 1957 who passed away on 13th August 2012.
He was best known as the Captain of the Scotland rugby team and was ever present on two Lions tours.
Gordon played most of his service rugby with at Devonport Services and went on to represent not only the Royal Marines but the Royal Navy.
Upon leaving the service Gordon settled in South Africa and became MP for Johannesburg North.
His memorial service is on Tuesday 25th September at Chelsea Old Church, Old Chelsea Street London SW3.
