RNRU on the lookout for new Under 23 talent
The Royal Navy Rugby Union 2018-2019 season gets underway very shortly, starting with the preparation for Under 23 Inter Service competition which will culminate in November.
The Royal Navy Rugby Union Under 23 team have a very impressive record, having been crowned Inter Service Champions for the past three years. As you can imagine the team are very keen to retain the title for a fourth successive year.
The Assistant Director of Rugby, Lieutenant Commander Aidan Riley says "Our mission is to win the Inter Service competition and the key to success is to continually identify new players who can be trained and developed as the RNRU players of the future. We strongly believe that the skills learnt on the rugby pitch such as discipline and teamwork are directly transferable to our service life and will make us all better sailors and marines too."
