Royal Navy Women to face the Australian Services Women
At 2pm on Saturday 27 October at Burnaby Road, Portsmouth the Royal Navy Women (RN(W)) will face the Australian Services Women (ASRU) for their first fixture of the 1012/13 season. The ASRU are in the UK on tour, during which time they will face each of the single service teams before playing the Combined Services Women in the Remembrance fixture at Virginia Park, home of Caerphilly RFC on Wed 7 Nov (KO 2pm).
The ASRU come to this match on the back of a 52-0 victory against the Royal Air Force at RAF Halton, which gives an indication of the level of rugby that will be played at the weekend. This match will be the first with new Head Coach, Lt Dominic "Bali" Salisbury in charge and also will see the introduction of several new players. The game promises to be very memorable.
