English internationals Mike Tindall and James Simpson-Daniel, were among the Gloucester Rugby Squad who took part in team-building training at the Royal Navy's premier training establishment in the South West on Thursday 19 January 2006. The group also included England internationals Adam Balding, Alex Brown, Peter Richards and South African Jake Boer. A unique Presidential Occasion: the launch of the RNRU Centenary On Monday 09th January 2006 Admiral Sir Jonathon Band KCB First Sea Lord (Desig) and President of the Royal Navy Rugby Union hosted a unique gathering of the Presidents of the Home Unions, Mr Keith Rowlands WRU, Mr Lee Angel RFU, Mr Andy Irvine SRU, and Mr Andy Crawford IRFU. Jason Leonard on Board - 14th December 2005 Jason Leonard touched down on the flight deck of HMS Illustrious to give rugby a lift-off for kids in Portsmouth yesterday. England's most-capped international player took part in a coaching session for children from two South Coast schools as part of the Royal & SunAlliance SEE U @ RUG B programme. Children from Court Lane Junior School and St Jude's CofE Primary School in Portsmouth are learning to play the game with the help of the Rugby Football Union's Community coaches.
