The Royal Navy Rugby Union took the opportunity at the International Defence Rugby Competition final to thank ESS for their significant contribution to making the tournament such a success. ESS, who are long standing supporters and current shirt sponsor of the RNRU, were also sponsors of IDRC 2015. Without their generous support the RNRU Vice President, RAdm Keith Beckett acknowledged that the tournament would not have been such a success and nor would the RNRU be able to promote rugby union throughout the Royal Navy and Royal Marines as effectively as they do.

Having been named Royal Navy player of IDRC 2015 by the Senior XV squad, openside flanker Jarred Hayler, makes his debut this evening for the Royal Navy U23 XV as they travel to Bedford for their final fixture before the 2015 Inter Services tournament. The side will be captained by centre Greg Loydall.
