The Navy Referees Society has caught up with the digital age and has taken delivery of their first communications set. Many ardent rugby follows will be used to seeing match officials with ear pieces in. The push to talk radio system allows two way communications between the referee, his two touch judges and the reserve official. However the RNRURS have also included an open mike system with the package. The open mike allows the referee coach or adviser to hear all of the dialogue between referee and players. Following their 33 - 3 home victory over Falmouth, Devonport Services are just three more matches from appearing at Twickenham in the Powergen Junior Vase. However to continue their journey Services will need to be on top form and travel well when they meet Bicester on the 14 Jan 2006. Carney Park, 11th December 2005 – Cold, wet, windy: perfect rugby conditions for an intense and sometimes heated match between the NATO Lions and local rivals CUS Napoli. The Lions defence was constantly tested as Portici maintained the pressure and demonstrated t...
The late arrival of Newbury caused the kick off to be delayed by 30 mins on an evening blighted by the traffic congestion caused by a crash on the M27.
