  Navy Cup Final Preview   Following their 12-19 victory over HMS Collingwood, HMS Heron only have cup final newcomers HMS Excellent between them and a record 9 th Navy Cup Final title.   A hard fought semi-final was played at HMS Collingwood which saw HMS Heron battle back from a 12-3 deficit to deservedly book their place in the 5 Jan final.  After an uncharacteristic sluggish start, Heron showed that up front they had too much power and behind the scrum, in Navy U23s Humphries and Hunt, they had too much class for the Collingwood team. Logs 'Charlie' Lewis Selected for Scotland

  Logs Charlotte 'Charlie' Lewis is set to open another chapter in Royal Navy Rugby illustrious history by becoming the Navy's first women International player as she represents Scotland in their match against Spain to be held in Madrid on Mon 3 Jan 11.   As Navy Rugby approaches Christmas with an abundance of rugby success and a selection headache for the Senior XV coaches to ponder before the first of the Senior XV fixtures away against Oxford University on 2 Feb 11.    Whilst Britain froze HMS Cumberland kicked off proceedings in far warmer conditions, by winning the Al Ain 7s.  Under the coaching of CPO (Dave) Sibson, Cumberland's team proved too strong for their challengers and were worthy winners.  Navy centre, Dale Sleeman, proved that his form of last season has not diminished and he will again be a powerful presence in midfield.  However former Navy U23s Matt Williams (Flanker) and Nial Copel...

  Royal Marines Regain Inter Command Title (Inverdale Cup) 2010   The afternoon saw Plymouth beat Portsmouth 30-6 to take 3 rd place in the 2010 Inter Command competition. That evening the Royal Marines played the Naval Air Command in a repeat of last year's final at the home of Navy Rugby Burnaby Rd, Portsmouth.  However, the result this year was reversed in favour of the Marines.   The Marines fielded a strong squad containing no less than 6 Senior Navy capped players and 4 Navy U23 2010 Inter Service Championship winners.  However, the Marines only started with a 21 man squad due to the later arrival of one player from Junior Command Course....
