Touch is the fun, non-contact version of rugby played by people of all ages and every level of ability and experience.
Broadening the reach and appeal of rugby through Touch is one of the key focus areas for the RFU to create a lasting legacy for the sport in the build up to and beyond the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

As a former Chief Physical Training Instructor I bring 23 years of career experience in the Development, Management and Delivery of Sport.
As the title implies, I will be responsible for increasing involvement at all levels of rugby looking at new and developing formats, with a strong focus on growth, enjoyment and participation at grassroots level. Some new players were involved for the RN(W) for this fixture against a very well drilled Trojans RFC.
The game started badly for the RN(W) and a failure to claim a restart and some uncharacteristically poor tackling allowed the strong running Trojans backs to score a try within the first minute. 0-5.

The Navy and Cambridge were part of a 66 point thriller on Weds evening in Portsmouth in the Navy's third game of the season. The Navy triumphed 38-28 in a fast and open game that saw the best performance of the season so far. Cambridge opened the brighter team and immediately put the Navy under pressure, but resolute defence kept them to 2 penalties kicks in the for 10 minutes.
