This years Inter Command final will be contested on Wed 27 Mar 13, KO 7pm, at Burnaby Road, the home of Navy Rugby. BAE Systems, sponsors of the Royal Navy Rugby Union will also sponsor this event. The Inverdale Trophy is named after former Royal Navy Surgeon Captain John Inverdale. A rugby man himself, he was committed to both Devonport Services and United Services Portsmouth. Captain John Inverdale was made a Life Member of the Royal Navy Rugby Union in 1970. The radio and television broadcaster John Inverdale, son of Captain John Inverdale who works for the BBC and ITV covering sporting events will again be present at this years final.

The Royal Navy Presidents XV will travel to Sale RFC, to face the Wooden Spooners on Weds 20 Mar.
The Presidents side is selected from those players who have showed promise during the Inter-Command games and the successful U23's.
The game will give players the opportunity to perform and develop their skills at the next level. It also a chance for players on the fringe of the Senior XV to get noticed and stake a claim for senior honours in the future.
The team will be coached by the Royal Navy Community Rugby Coaches from Devonport Service Dave Oakley and from US Portsmouth Si Burns, both of whom are very experienced at all levels of Service rugby.

The Royal Navy have named a strong squad to face Devon RFC on Wed 20 Mar KO 7pm at The Rectory, home of Devonport Services RFC.
This fixture will allow DoR Cdr (Andy) Kellett RN to give ‘game time' to some of the squad players who didn't make the team for the recent fixture against the Irish Defence Forces.
The game will also allow Devon to look for the first time this season at potential players for the forthcoming Tamar Cup as well as the Country Championship fixtures.

On a bitterly cold afternoon on the south bank of the Liffey, the Royal Navy who had travelled to Dublin on Mon stepped out onto Monkstown FC to play their annual fixture against the Irish Defence Forces (IDF). A bright start by the IDF, spurred on after last years heavy defeat and looking for their fourth win in this series of games that see's the Navy with an 8-3 advantage, saw them earn two early penalties, however, neither were converted by Capt Behan.
