The Royal Navy team has been announced to play Plymouth Albion on Monday 19 th April at PARFC, Brickfields, Plymouth. Kick off is at 7.30pm. The match offers more players an opportunity to gain valuable game time, and will undoubtedly provide good preparation for the forthcoming Inter Services match against the Army at Twickenham on 1 st May.

Following on from the Royal Navy Veterans, the Navy Women's match was to set the scene for the Senior XV game against the Royal Air Force in the first round of the Babcock 2010 Inter Services Rugby Championship. It had been lean time of late for the Navy women in this competition, since achieving back to back wins against the RAF in the 2004/5 and 2005/6 seasons.
The Navy women, led by Vic Percival, was a mix of new and old players with an experience level ranging from new-comers to the Inter-Service competition to those who had already tasted victory over their close rivals the RAF.

The Royal Navy notched up a resounding victory against a young and spirited Royal Air Force team in Portsmouth on Saturday in the opening match of the Babcock Inter Services Competition. Earlier in the day, the Royal Navy Veterans narrowly missed out after a second half come back, losing by 16 points to 19. This was followed by a well deserved win for the Royal Navy Women by 14 points to 11. The Royal Navy Women played their final fixture before the start of the Inter Services against the well-established Trojans side on Wednesday. Officer Cadet Julianna Straker (BRNC Dartmouth), playing at full back, kicked off for the Royal Navy. Early pressure from Trojans saw a penalty and lineout in their favour but, despite being camped in the Navy half, they were unable to covert territory into points. The Navy defence was resolute and closed down the attacking side to deny them scoring opportunities. Good clearances under pressure by the Navy back line kept wave after wave of attacks at bay.
